Is there any bitterness between you and the one who brought you to the Org.
by JH indo you feel any additional bitterness from the brother or sister that gave you a bible study and expected you to remain a good jw.. althought i'm not df'd, the one that gave me a bible study that led to my baptism never calls, or comes over, although he is an elder today.. i feel plenty of bitterness from his part..

No, not at all. It was my parents and all they did was listen to someone in the 1950's at their door, hear what was very different to the status quo in religion at that time and both not being raised in religious homes, embraced what they felt was the truth and raised their children the same.
My father has since passed and while my Mother who is in her 80's now still is a witness and I am not, I understand what they were trying to do and quite frankly my upbringing spared me alot of trouble and part of who I am today is because of their being loving parents, misguided or not.

Welcome welcome,
Your wife can stand toe to toe with anyone here and if she is the nice one than then my plans is never to be between a ROC and a hard place!
While I admitly no nothing about submarines and atheists on board, I remember hearing about a worldwide flood once and EVERY living thing ,well maybe not fish, was killed except for those few on a boat. That time God was the one who sprung the leak..

What makes a truly great kiss?
by nicolaou innow i'm not going all girly or anything but kissing is still great!
if my wife is, for example, preparing a meal i might be able to kiss her on the side of the neck while she's peeling the potato's.
i know what you're thinking, 'that nic's a smooth ol' romatic operator'!.

by OUTLAW ini never knew of any jehovah`s witness to give anything to the community..ever!
!..they don`t mind taking, but they don`t give back.except in the way of manditory tax`s.....i sometimes drop a dollar or two into a donation can.i take clothes, kitchen items, electrical appliances, food or anything else i`m not using and give it to "charity"..i never let anything usefull go to waste.someone in need, gets it!.....not everyone is in a position to do this and thats ok.....for those who are in a position to help those in need:..do you give to charities or donate time?...outlaw

Great topic Outlaw,
The witnesses refusing to help in the community and using the door to door work as the excuse or poor equivilant as help really didn't sit with me at a young age especially when I would see and read about the Catholic Church feeding, clothing and reaching out to those needing the basic necessities. the only thing the literature would be good for is stoking a fire or keeping it going if they were cold.
We anonymously help needy families with food and clothes year round and my work has a program to give Christmas gifts to children less fortunate. I have helped at local Missions with food prep and serving it to the homeless.
This isn't a Charity but I truly love being at a restaurant, pick out a young family and quietly ask their server to give me their check and pay for their dinner and leave before they find out. a stranger did this for me once many years ago and it had such a impact on my life that I decided to continue doing this myself.
